The teacher  who is indeed wise does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom but rather leads you to the threshhold of your mind

Lydie Ometto has been engaged in yoga for the past 25 years having started her love for it on her home land of Brazil. She has been teaching yoga for close to 11 years as a registered yoga instructor.

Her 200 hrs Yoga Alliance was completed thru the tutoring of Yogi Hari with Ananda Yoga on early 1999, and she has received her 500hrs Yoga Alliance thru Integrative Yoga Therapy with the loving supervision of Joseph and Lilian La Page on mid 2007.

Here are just some of the many loving masters and teachers which my path has cross with (so far); Yogi Hari, Kali Ray, Joseph La Page, Todd Norian, Gopala, Lillian La Page, Aadil Palkhivala, Paul Grilley, Dr. Jose Rugue, Dharma Mittra, Mukesh Desai, Apo – Tibetan Lama, Judith Lasater, Martin & Jordan Kirk, Stephanie Keach, Rodney Yee, Ireni Schiavinato, Anderson Allegro, Joyce Anue, Rev Dr. Louise-Dianne and many others dear to my heart and soul, including all the loving students and practice ‘buddies’.

Lydie has completed her 1010 hrs as Integrative Yoga Therapist.

Lydie embraces the ‘subtle aspects’ of Yoga and Yoga Therapy. Within her teaching an eclectic array of styles are blended in gentle, focused, balanced, harmonious, powerful and flowing movements of all bodies.

Her background as a Physical Therapist, Massage Therapist, Acupuncturist (BR) and Energy Work define her awareness and knowledge expressed during her classes where she also combines her love for nature and the overall Divine creation.

Lydie is the co-founder of Crescent Yoga Center which has assisted in expanding the light of yoga in Greeneville – TN for many years. And she is now the founder and owner of InnerSea Yoga Center in Johnson City - TN where she is joyfully sharing the beauty of yoga.

Also through her love for traveling nationally and internationally sharing is always on the happening !

Jen Kintner studied with Shiva Rea, Rod Stryker and others, and has been teaching Vinyasa yoga for 8 years. Jen is also a member of Mountain Movers, the resident dance company at ETSU, where she serves as adjunct faculty in the department of Theatre and Dance.

Rhonda Lacey has been practicing for almost a decade, taking her first yoga class in the year 2000. Like many newcomers during the yoga “boom,” Rhonda began yoga as a form of exercise, but soon realized that being on her yoga mat was so much more than physical. Knowing that she wanted to share yoga with others, Rhonda completed the Living Yoga Teacher Training Program in January, 2007.

Rhonda specializes in beginner yoga and loves new students. “My favorite part of teaching yoga is showing others the beauty, strength and balance within themselves. So many students enter a class thinking they can’t ‘do’ yoga – they’re not strong enough, flexible enough, or simply feel that they are physically out of shape. Yoga becomes a part of life and can truly be for everyone, regardless of body type. If they are ready to open up the mind, the body will follow.”

In addition to yoga, Rhonda enjoys being outdoors, reading, travel, and looking for new adventures!

Ruth's early yoga training was in Bikram style hot yoga.  She learned this technique in Knoxville, TN in the early '90's.  When she moved to Johnson City, TN in the mid '90's she practiced at home, as there were not any studios in Johnson City at the time.

In the summer of 2007 she attended the Asheville Yoga Center Teacher Training with Stephanie Keach.  Since then she's been teaching yoga classes to seniors, and for all ages.
She is currently working toward her 500 hour yoga teacher training at Asheville Yoga Center.  She has certification in Pre-Natal, Yin, and Restorative Yoga.  She has her 230 hour teacher training from AYC and Registered Yoga Alliance certification.

Ruth enjoys traveling all over the world with her husband of 15 years, going hiking with her Sheltie mix dog, and reading a variety of literature.
Vicky Smith has been a certified yoga teacher since the summer of 2005. She got her original certification with American Aerobic Association International & International Sports Medicine Association. She has attended “workshops” regularly and maintains the required CEC to continue her certification.

Vicky loves every aspect of yoga. From the meditation to the challenging postures that help her (and her students) really connect to their breath and focus on the moment. Vicky also enjoys adjusting students and allowing their bodies to open to the full awareness of each posture.

Vicky feels honored to be a part of the InnerSea Yoga Studio and she looks forward to being a student as well as a teacher. She has taught at Crescent Studio in Greeneville, TN., A Community Center in Greeneville, TN. And at the YMCA also in Greeneville.
